Returned again for a quick burger at the bar, perfection. Sures it's expensive but worth it and the top notch service backs it up.

The Village Pub offers a delightful culinary experience! The staff seemed genuinely passionate about ensuring our dining experience was memorable, and the service was nothing short of excellent! The presentation for the dishes was beautiful, and the standout dish was definitely the duck breast. This succulent entrée is perfectly cooked, with a harmonious balance of sweetness and savory. The rich and creamy truffle risotto was also delicious. The Wagyu rib-eye was a bit overcooked. For dessert, the chocolate souffle was rich and decadent. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience!

Food - excellent! We thought a 3 course meal wouldn't be enough to eat, but both my husband and I left the meal feeling extremely full. The bread is sooo good. Scallops were so fresh and flavorful. The cauliflower soup with truffle was hot and rich. The wagyu beef steak was grilled to perfection. The complimentary fries were the best fries I've ever had. All the desserts were amazing. The only thing I noticed is feeling a bit thirsty after the meal. Service - Melody was our main server. She really made our anniversary celebration special by giving us way more than what we ordered on the pre fixe menu. In addition to our server, there were many other service staff coming to collect our empty plates, filling our glasses with water, boxing our leftovers. Everything was seamless. Ambiance - the place is very classy. it was beautiful. Bathroom had a some fancy smelling soap. I highly recommend this place for celebration dinners or for an impressive date.

Hands down, the best Michelin restaurant in the peninsula. We had a reservation for a Sunday night, at 5pm. We were probably the third party to be seated so not bad. It quickly filled up throughout the night, but it wasn't overly packed. I really liked our table, as we sat right in front of the mini kitchen window, w/ a glimpse of one of the chefs grilling the meat every now and then. Service was phenomenal: so many good things to say about our waitress. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, patience, respectful - the list can go on and on. Food is exceptional: from appetizer, to entrees, to dessert. Everything was on point. The only thing I would request next time is a little less salt on our food. They went a little extra on our appetizer/entrees so I was extremely thirsty with every bite I took. Nonetheless, the presentation and the actual dish were spectacular. My absolute favorite was the duck breast. I highly, highly recommend that you don't skip out on it. The sear on it was exactly to perfection and the crust. Oh my. You would have to try it to know exactly what I'm talking about. As for the dessert: I was excited to try a chocolate soufflé; however, 1/2 way through I realize that if you're not that much of a fan on chocolate, as much as it sounds appetizing, it's heavy. No way I could've finished it even if I wanted to. There are a couple of other options so we will try out the others next time we're back. Their menu changes but duck will always be on their menu, just w/ minor slight changes. After a weekend in Carmel, I am so glad we ended the night here.

Recently made the trip to the Village Pub for our anniversary dinner. Started out with the welcome canapes. The red one is compressed watermelon with some interesting seasoning added to it. Don't remember what else they were, but they were all quite tasty. The wine, etc. list reminded me of a phone book. At the very end on page 104, they had Oatey McOatface stout, which is what I went with. Their main menu setup consists of picking an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For the app, I went with the citrus cured Kampachi and the wife got the scallop special. Then we got a surprise course sent out from the chef. Black truffle topped pasta. Probably my favorite bite of the meal. For the entree, we went with the lobster and salmon dishes, which were outstanding. Desserts rounded out the meal with panna cotta and a chocolate mousse cake. Service was great and it was a very enjoyable evening of tasty delights.

This spot was highly recommended to me so, of course, we had to try it for our anniversary. We had reservations about a month in advance. It was relatively full for a Wednesday night dinner. There were seldom any open tables while we were there. Parking was pretty easy as they have a small lot right outside in the plaza. Ambiance of the restaurant was dim, cozy and romantic. Perfect for a date or intimate group dinner. Service was a delight. The food was incredible. We had: - bread rolls to start (comes with the meal) - cappes (small bites) - heirloom salad - seared scallop appetizers - duck breast - wagyu rib eye - panna cotta - soufflé - they surprised us with a lemon cake for our anniversary and there was additional bites of desserts to follow with the bill Everything was incredible, especially the scallops. Wow. I don't think there was anything for us to nitpick even if we wanted to. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot.

We went back here to welcome our old time friend visiting us from overseas. The only gripe we had last time was the service, and let me say, this time, the service was exceptional. Mel, our server, and Jim our sommelier, just made us feel so very special - like family. I will be asking for her every time we come back. As a Michelin star restaurant entails - consistent excellent food, ambiance is romantic, great place for a date night.

We just had a great time for a wedding reception at The Village Pub! We all had a wonderful time indulging in the several courses, the attentive service, and relaxing ambiance! We joked that we didn't fully appreciate the artistic quality of the food! The food was delightfully delicious, but the presentation is what got us! Overall, it was a great restaurant for a wedding reception, as everyone was comfortable, relaxed, and left with a full stomach.
